I'm writing this post more just for a bit of fun than anything else, I have always been interested in the idea of communicating with a past version of myself though if I ever did somehow get the opportunity to do so I don't think I would take it. I'm going to write this letter as my current self 20 years old writing to my 10 year old self.
Dear myself,
I know weird, hows things? If anyone was to know it would be me... It's hard to know what to say because I know what you are doing and what you are thinking and I don't want to freak you out. I am you from the future and I have spent some time thinking about what to say to you that won't change me. To not give too much away I want to offer you one short piece of advise, I know your thinking tell me more than one thing give me some lotto numbers, but I can't do that or I might never write this, I don't know how time works so I'm not risking anything.
The one thing I want to tell you is that it's okay to be wrong, I know it doesn't seem like I'm giving you much to go on right now but that's the point, it might not seem like a big deal now but the little things can make a big difference, you'll learn that soon enough.
I know you think you know it all and maybe you do know a fair amount for your age but you can always learn more, as you know. Being wrong isn't a bad thing because it means you have the opportunity to learn something new and you don't need to be embarrassed about being wrong because you've got a lot of time to learn and a lot of being wrong ahead of you.
From You...
P.S. hitting 6ft ain't looking good.
What would you say to a younger version of yourself? I would love to see other people sharing letters from themselves to their past or future selves, if anyone reading this does like the idea and posts a letter to themselves put the link in the comments so I can have a read. Upvote if you enjoyed and Follow for more.
