Self education is one of the most important and amazing things you can do for yourself. Obviously a lot of people on steemit will have an understanding of this because this is a great platform for that.
I feel as if a lot of people don't self educate and just go around asking questions, which i'm not saying there is anything wrong with asking questions BUT i do believe that a lot of questions can be answered by some research and using our unlimited source of resources (the internet) to understand things at a higher level and the more we do our own research the higher the quality of knowledge will be.
Generally I think that a lot of people not using the internet to it's full extent and i know it can be a daunting place if you are not familiar with it but even just teaching people to use search engines in a more efficient way would be great. It seems as if people are good at using the internet for things like recipes or videos but not for educational purposes. We have an infinite bank of knowledge at our fingertips and it is not used enough but maybe some people have the belief that the internet is unreliable. Hopefully with platforms like steemit people will be able to have the ability to use social media and educate themselves in an easier way then what Facebook or similar would.
