I got some extra sleep in last night, but still got up at 6am since I went to bed so early. I have been sketching@sketching around a lot lately — enjoying using my digital drawing tablet. I have so many intriguing images from my sunrise skate session the other day, I figured I would post some "outtakes" from my d-pend@d-pend poetry post I made earlier in this actifit@actifit report.

.

It's really crazy to think that last October I couldn't even stay on my board for more than a few seconds without bailing or falling off and now I can comfortably cruise around wherever. Still a little hesitant when it comes to skating ramps and other skatepark features, just liking good ol' street skating at the moment, no tricks, nothing flashy, just cruisin' :-)
.

Most of my daily steps came from walking around talking to a friend of mine that recently finished up his law program. He has a short break before studying for the bar exam. I was doing my best to stay in the shade, but that Texas sun is hard to avoid! My shoulders are a bit on the reddish side. I lack the requisite melanin to be able to stay in the sun for too long! Anyway, here comes summer, before too long...
.

*P.S. After writing the above, I decided to get in a night stroll so I could hit 20,000 steps just for fun. That's what happens when you gamify fitness! It's a warm, humid evening and there is lightning off to the west. A storms a-rollin' in, methinks..!

Be well, stay active!
