FromSoftware's Elden Ring will be out in two months. The game recently received an age rating from the ESRB, which added additional information, including about brutality and violence.
The game is classified as "M" ("Mature"), as expected, meaning that the game's content is not suitable for teens under the age of 17. Projects with this rating may contain quite violent violence, a large amount of gore with dismemberment, obscene sex scenes or gross profanity that is undesirable for a younger audience.
It is an RPG in which players take on the role of a character trying to obtain the magic ring and become Lord Elden. From a third-person perspective, players explore the environment, collect items and fight various enemies (eg knights, fantastic creatures) in hand-to-hand combat. Players use swords, spears, axes, arrows and magic on enemies; The fight is accentuated by screams of pain, blood splashes and the sounds of blows. The game contains images of gore: items that can be collected, including severed fingers and tongues; the boss character cuts off his hand; severed hands hang from the ceiling. During the game, the humanoid monster is depicted partially nude, with scales / scars covering its chest and pelvis. The word "sh * t" appears in the dialog.
Elden Ring will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S | X and PC on February 28, 2022.
