We read in the book of Deuteronomy 18: 9-12:
When you enter the land that Jehovah your God gives you, you will not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations.
It is not found in you who passes his son or daughter through the fire, or who practices divination, or agodo, or spell, or sorcerer,
neither charming, nor fortune teller, nor magician, nor who consults the dead.
For anyone who does these things is an abomination to Jehovah, and by these abominations Jehovah your God casts these nations from before you.
The scriptures prohibit people from practicing spiritual activities and that Christians are involved in this type of practice, in these verses the prohibition of such activities is argued.
Moses mentions eight spiritual activities that are still practiced today: divination, agodor, spell, sorcery, enchantress, forecaster, magic and consulting the dead.
These activities all lead to a single objective, since they all have a mixture of each other and seek to obtain knowledge of the occult through supernatural spirits or forces that exert demonic influence on those who practice such things.
Moses warned the people that all these practices are abomination to Jehovah. God repudiates, detests and hates disgustingly the practice and the one who consults this type of occultism.
God hates evildoers, obviously that this does not put a person out of the reach of God's love, but if he does not repent and keep practicing such things it is obvious that he cannot receive such love.
No one can take away the glory of God and hide this kind of occultism is to take away the glory from God, as telling you you are not the only almighty. And we know that God is not only powerful but almighty.
Christians should take care of this kind of practice and the people who do it must turn to God and repent because the end will be disastrous.
