Jesus always made known the importance and value of the kingdom of God. I urge his disciples to seek first the kingdom of God and his justice and everything else would come in addition.
Likewise, John, every time he preached, he focused on the kingdom of God, always towards similarities of the kingdom just like Jesus, and that Jesus Christ himself gave incalculable value to his kingdom. For example, in one of the biblical accounts we can read in the book of Matthew which makes reference in chapter 13 verse 45 about the parable of the pearl of great price. The author says:
45 Also the kingdom of heaven is similar to a merchant who seeks good pearls,
46 Having found a precious pearl, he went and sold everything he had, and bought it. (Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960)

In these verses we can notice the great magnitude that the Lord gave to the kingdom, He tells his disciples in the form of parables that the kingdom of heaven is similar to a merchant who seeks good pearls and when he finds it he sells everything he has And the purchase. These verses have many connotations to reflect. But nevertheless
Here we can look at the supreme value that Jesus gives to the kingdom and we could understand spiritually that the precious pearl is the same Lord Jesus Christ and when we have an encounter with Him we must interpret the importance of that opportunity and make the most of it to make the most of maintain that relationship and let die that allows us to access that precious stone that is our lord.
In other words, one can also say that we must make gigantic efforts on a social, moral and spiritual level and renounce every weight of sin that beset us to enjoy that great pearl we have found.
It is important to know that in order to obtain a precious pearl of great price it is not obtained easily since it has a fairly high price but when we want to obtain it if possible we sell scosas that do not have the same meaning of the pearl to be able to obtain it and stay with she.
Thus our Lord expects us to appreciate his word, his presence in our life and that great sacrifice he made to give us salvation and eternal life.
