The best prayer the Christian makes is not a monologue, but the one in which a dialogue is established between God and him.
In Psalm 91:14 we find a prayer and a response from God where a perfect dialogue is established since it is man with God.
The psalm says: "Because he has laid his love on me, I will deliver him also", that is, I will set him on high, because he has known my name. In this sense God responds to the psalmist and although God does not promise total immunity against calamities, the Lord assures him that he will be present at the side of all those who invoke him and will free them and glofield him.
The Lord does not want us to take refuge in the things of the world but his longing is that we find in Him our true refuge.
David was one of the followers of Jesus who most wrote about Him as a true refuge and specifically in Psalm 91 we find these words of the psalmist: He who lives in the shelter of the Most High will dwell under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to Jehovah: My hope, and my castle;
My God, in whom I will trust.
The Lord wants that when we feel in danger or distressed or sad He wants us to take refuge in Him with full confidence that He will be with us that we take refuge under His wings.
Let us put our hope and our strength that without God is little in the hands of our Lord that will give us strength even when we do not have any.
