First thoughts about card
the first time I saw this card I thought this is the replacement for the Fire Beetle which is an alpha/beta card as it does have about the same stats and cost as the Lava Spider but at higher levels the Lava Spider does unlock new abilities.

Seeing the blast rule set already gave me ideas that the Lava spider is usable here as it does have the snipe ability which makes its target from the 2nd unit onward resulting in more damage due to blast affecting the adjacent units which making anything sandwiched between units a better target
Team Composition
Position: Summoner
Tarsa was chosen for its plus 1 to melee damage and plus 1 to health as having more health in a blast battle helps keep units that have 1 health from dying due to blast damage.Position: Main Tank/Main Damage dealer
Grum Flameblade the best at reverse speed and blast rulesets due to its massive damage amount at 4, 5 after buff from summoner and void armor which makes attack hit his armor first plus bloodlust will recover his armor on a kill but his speed does go up so the more he kills the weaker he becomes in reverse speed but for the first hit he gonna hit like a truck.
Position: SubTank/Filler
SubTank/filler unit since it cost zero mana great to use as a shield to prevent units from taking damage, placed so that in the case of a mirror match if they do not have an filler I would win.Position: Melee Sneak Damage
Prefect for the reverse speed ruleset having only 1 speed and with blast does so much more damage since its base attack is 5 with buff becomes 6 making it hit for a ton of damage and having more heavy hitters that go first works great during the blast rulesetPosition: Range Damage
The star of the challenge for this week, The lava spider works well during the blast rule set but its higher speed works against it for the reverse speed rule but its snipe effect is still very valuable allowing its blast to hit more units since it targets the second unit onwards.Now on to the Battle
Round 1
They went with a magic based team, does work very well with the rule set as magic bypasses armor to hit the health directly, however my Grum Flameblade negates it by having void armor which makes the magic hit his armor first and make the mistake of placing their taunting unit in the second position allowing for massive damage to be dealt to their first and third position units.
This round basically killed their whole team and my team only lost my subtank/filler unit and i did take a small bit of damage.
Round 2
This round was just a straight win as the sand worm went to wipe their remaining unit with its massive truck hit of 6 damage. resulting in the match ending with my victory.
Strategy Talk
This team was built around having as many high damage sneak/snipe units to take advantage of the blast rule set, it did work as seen from the amount of damage my units did wiping most of the opponent's team in the first round resulting in an easy victory.
Lava Spider is my go to replacement for the fire beetle unit since that card is not a starter card anymore plus the lava spider at higher levels do have additional abilities
