today's piece is a rainy landscape doodle. This drawing that I made just now captures that exact quiet feeling when the rain starts softly falling and you’re safe and snug inside watching the sky turn light blue while clouds drift over the hills. i wanted to capture the magic of how a soft downpour makes everything else disappear like magic.
the drawing has those simple lines and soft chalky textures I always love to do. i painted a yellow river winding like a ribbon between different shaped green hills, just waiting to soak up all the moisture. the rain dots are scattered like little seeds. i added a few clouds giving their blessing to the scene. when i was making my doodle,
i wanted to share how simple beauty can be, a little splash of joy and creativity to start the week.
just letting the ideas take shape while the rain sounds on the roof and the world slows down around me. simple lines like a big hug. hope this one brings a little bit of calm to your evening too.
