Christians are supposed to know our future as directed by God. But can we be certain of our future? How can we predict our future?
Only God knows our future. The Bible is not only that doctrinaire book but it is where we receive prophecy, vision, revelation on how our future might turn out when we do the will of God. There have been some pronouncements that have been made that we must believe that God will perfect his good works in our life.
John 14 vs 2:3. I also say that I've told you before that it will come to pass that when you come to pass that you might believe. when we believe and have faith then we can achieve this. We cannot just live day by day in the unknown without assurance, without hope, without a prophecy.
We might not be in a position where we expect anything to happen. We must have faith that we will receive a good future. In Proverbs 16 vs 9 it says that a man plans his way but the Lord directed his steps.
Sometimes we can predict or want to go the same or expect the same thing. We may have a future to go and a particular way but it's only God that plans how it will end. We do not know. Therefore the only path we have is to plan for the future but only God has the final say and it's only God that directs our path.
We don't expect it to happen but when we believe in God then we can live a certain kind of life. As Christians we are not certain of our future. We might not know what might happen but the end shall justifiably meet and with God we know that all things are possible.
