Over the years, whenever I'm been rejected or I feel I'm been rejected, I become down casted and I feel less of a being. Probably because I wasn't used to been rejected or it gets me by surprise but all the same it calls to question the kind of self esteem I have.
During the course of these years, whenever such happens I shut myself off from the rest of the world and bury myself in my thoughts. I've never been suicidal anyways but I've been a thoughtful person all along only that it gets worse when I'm being rejected or let down for any reason at all.
I achieved my turning point in 2006 when I was priviledgrd to be att a motivation and capacity building programme, there I was told told to get up every time I fall and keep moving. It then struck me that I've been going about it wrong all along, I don't need to shutt the world out or be down casted all I needed to do was stand up every time and keep walking.
From then onwards, I started reading more motivational books and kept building my self esteem. As I write this, I have achieved a sense of fulfillment and inner peace to the extent that I don't feel pain or anger if I'm rejected or rebuffed, instead I see it as an opportunity yo grow and become better than I was.
I have moved past the stage where rejection is a thing of concern for me and I have moved to a stage of self fulfilment. I achieved this through the help of positive books and positive people who are my motivating factors and I have dedicated myself to helping other move from that level of low esteem to the level of self actualization and self fulfilment
