I have a friend who's a very successful copywriter. He made millions during the last decade selling pdf and mini-courses that people didn't really need. He was a master of email marketing.
2 years ago, he sold all his funnels. I had dinner with him and asked him why he did that.
He told me: "*People in this industry don't realize it yet but they're already dead.
It's not because of Stripe, Paypal, or Facebook as people may think but it's because of the people.
My job is to understand people's behaviors and the truth is people's behavior is changing at a rapid pace.
In the near future, if you don't have a group of loyal people/customers around you, you're dead.
Building deep connections with customers will become absolutely key*."
I think he was totally right.
The way people interact with each other is changing so the way we purchase things will change too.
In my opinion, email marketing will not die...for the marketers who take the time to build real relationships with their customers by bringing real value to them. That can't be faked and people can feel that.
