The strenght and beauty of trees. Symbols of family...the roots being the mother, giving life. The branches being the father protecting life...the leaves being the children renewing life.

For many years I worked as a Campaign Manager/Trainer for World Vision which is a christian based advocacy organization. World Vision's mission is to help children, families and communities overcoming poverty and injustice. I was very blessed to be chosen a leader in this organization for many years. I chose to retire many years ago and was given a book entitled "Grace Africa in Photography" written by a local Toronto author Andrew McNaughton. The pictures are in black and white and without words show Africa to the core.

If you enjoyed this post and would like me to share other photographs for Andrew's book just let me know in the comments. I would be honored to share.
