For 20 days I am going to post an action to help you unlock your creativity. If you have followed any of my posts you would have noticed one of my favorite phrases is Pen to Paper. For me writing be it a poem or a story or just random thoughts has been so freeing and cleansing for me. I did this exercise a few years ago and decided to do it again as I am in a bit of a creative block so decided to share it on Steemit if anyone wants to share my journey as perhaps it is right what you also need.

The first thing you have to do is get a book and pen or pencil that you use specifically for these actions. Having your thoughts all in one place will establish order from the get go and will be at your fingertips to review.

Here we go:

To get your creativity flowing you need to start taking notes and collecting ideas about the world around you. This is the first step to any creative process. Learning to be creative is itself a creative art. Every time you pick up your book be prepared to write, scribble about anything that sparks your interest. Start cultivating the habit of documenting ideas.

Throughout our lives most of us have been taught not to write in books and mess up the pages. I want you to do the opposite. Break the seal. Write, draw, scribble on the page below.....

If you have a thought or an idea write it down as it may not mean anything or make sense now but you may use this as a point of reference for an action down the road.

Give your yourself permission to create. This book is your private collection of thoughts and ideas, connect your mind, body and spirit. Get it out of your mind and onto paper. But most of all have fun.
