What's up, Splinterlands family! Hope everyone is having a solid week and crushing their ranked games.

Today I want to dive into a Common Water monster called Sultry Barmaid. This is a snake archer card that costs 5 mana to deploy. Even though she looks like a tavern worker carrying wooden mugs, she is actually really useful for knocking flying monsters out of the sky.

Let’s take a look at her stats, abilities, and how to place her on the battlefield!

Card Stats and Level Breakdown

Sultry Barmaid is simple and easy to use. She does not have heavy armor, but her stats grow nicely as you level her up.

Here is how her stats grow as you level her up:

  • Level 1 to 2: Starts with 2 ranged attack, 2 speed, 0 armor, and 4 health. She comes with Snare right away at level 1. At level 2, her speed goes up to 3.
  • Level 3 to 7: At level 3, she gets her second ability, Oppress. As you level her up to level 7, her speed reaches 4 and her health grows up to 7.
  • Level 8 to 10 (Max Level): At level 8, her attack goes up from 2 to 3. At max level (level 10), she has 3 ranged attack, 4 speed, 7 health, and carries 2,100 collection power.

Understanding its Abilities

This card gives your team simple ways to deal with annoying enemy setups:

  1. Snare (Level 1): Removes the Flying ability from enemy monsters when she hits them.

  1. Oppress (Level 3): Deals double damage against enemy monsters that have zero attack power.

Having Snare right at level 1 is super helpful. Once a fast flying card loses its flight, the rest of your team can hit it easily without missing.

How to Set It Up on the Battlefield

Because Sultry Barmaid has 0 armor, you need to keep her safe:

  • Middle Lineup (Positions 3 or 4): Put her in the middle behind your frontline tanks. This lets her shoot safely without taking direct hits.
  • Against Flying Teams: Use her when you expect your opponent to bring fast dragon or water flying cards.
  • Best Rulesets: She works great in Earthquake (removing Flying forces enemies to take earthquake damage), Going the Distance (ranged only), or Close Range.

Final Thoughts

Sultry Barmaid is a handy 5-mana archer for Water teams. Having Snare at level 1 makes her really useful against dodge-heavy flying teams, and Oppress helps her quickly knock out buffer cards that cannot attack.

Have you tried using Sultry Barmaid in your Water matches? Do you keep her in your mid-line as a backup archer? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
