Dear dance and music lovers
This event has been running annually in London for fifty years. It celebrates the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community.
The first gay pride marches took place in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco on June 28th 1970 to commemorate the Stonewall riots.
Yesterday afternoon I trained and danced in the park but I filmed two videos for London Pride 2022.
In the first video, I'm at the corner of Park Lane with Piccadilly and it's where the parade started.
In the second video, I'm at Trafalgar Square after my training in Hyde Park.

Keeping to its historic route, marchers taking part in the parade will gather on Park Lane before heading towards Piccadilly, through Piccadilly Circus down Haymarket, and then taking a left towards Trafalgar Square before dispersing at Whitehall.
