As is customary in Lacey Township, Santa Claus was driven through the streets of Forked River, New Jersey, on a firetruck. While I came outside just in time to snap a shot of the tail end of the vehicle as it passed, a volunteer still came running up our driveway with a handful of candy canes. There was still plenty of shopping days left when this event occurred.
I find it funny how a decoration in our front yard appears to be coming out of the ground trying to get a candy cane. If a hand really came out of the dirt that size, I would hate to see the size of the rest of the body.
