As we begin to read Daredevil #21, the second part of "Rites Of Reconciliation," we know that Matt Murdock has reconnected with Nyla Skin and has stayed over at her flat in Propertunity Towers. A neighbor is worried about her daughter who has gone missing. We soon come to find out that many of the residents of Propertunity Towers have also gone missing.
Murdock soon fins himself with a growing fungus on his skin and then later waking up in the hidden basement of this complex. All of the while, he is still bothered by the death of Bullseye. With this recent event being on his mind, Murdock dreams of a child version of himself wearing a Bullseye costume running from a predator. This same dream happens over and over again. Finding the missing child and Nyla in the basement, Daredevil carries them both to safety outside the building.
With his sensations working overtime, Daredevil is led to "Nitrus" Novaro and Beautiful, two of the Hell's Kitchen popular mob muscle. Their looks are disguised by the spread of the fungus. Daredevil subdues them enough because they aren't the main problem here. It appears that some sicko is using the corpses of regular people to get him more babies.
