Still experimenting with this platform so bear with me... I had a thought yesterday as I was browsing steemit and looking for folks to follow. Like anyone, I'm interested in following people that produce content that I find interesting.
As I was cruising around trying to find things that looked worthwhile I kept thinking, "This seems pretty time consuming and inefficient. How can I do this better?
I didn't want to use creepy or salesy tactics, it's just not my nature. So I figured maybe it would be as easy as writing a post and offering to follow anyone who follows me.
I figured the bonus is that I am likely to end up following people that have insights beyond my usual interests and it could help to prevent the dreaded "echo chamber effect" that happens so often in social media. Worst case scenario if someone is just offensive or spamming my feed, a simple click and it's done!
So here's the pitch:
Anyone that follows me for the foreseeable future I will follow back!
Seems a great way to meet people, build followers and what the heck, it certainly helps all of us newer members to get more engaged and reach a wider audience.
