Hello friends,
Today I want to share with you a couple of pages from my sketchbook, which I filled out during a short trip to Prague (Czech Republic), one of the most beautiful cities I know. This time I didn't have many materials with me, nor did I have much free time to draw, but I was able to sketch the odd monument, in pencil and with ink wash.
**ESP **- Hola amigos, hoy quiero compartir con vosotros un par de páginas de mi cuaderno de bocetos, que rellené durante un breve viaje a Praga (República Checa), una de las ciudades más bonitas que conozco. En esta ocasión no llevaba conmigo muchos materiales ni dispuse de mucho tiempo libre para dibujar, pero pude abocetar algún que otro monumento, a lápiz y con tinta aguada.
This is the double page of the sketchbook, which includes some annotations and the label for Kozel, a local beer that accounted for a significant part of my intake during the few days I spent in the city 🙃
Esta es la doble página del cuaderno, que incluye algunas anotaciones y la etiqueta de Kozel, una cerveza local que representó una parte importante de mi ingesta durante los pocos días que pasé en la ciudad.
And here is a detail of the silhouette of a monument at sunset. At the time I was able to sketch it in pencil, and when I got home I filled it in with acrylic paint.
Y aquí un detalle de la silueta de un monumento al atardecer. En el momento pude esbozarlo a lápiz, y cuando regresé a casa lo rellené con pintura acrílica.
Generally when I draw from life, I usually do portraits or anatomical studies, but this time I enjoyed the urban sketching, which is something in which I don't have much practice or confidence to do in reduced times. So I recommend everyone to go out with a notebook and try to draw the environment 🙂

Generalmente cuando hago dibujo del natural suelo hacer retratos o estudios anatómicos, pero en esta ocasión disfruté del abocetado urbano (urban sketch) que es algo en lo que no tengo demasiado práctica ni confianza en tiempos reducidos. Así que recomiendo a todo el mundo salir a la calle con una libreta y probar a dibujar su entorno 🙂 Espero que os haya gustado!
