Cross country skiing the VASA trail in Traverse City. Michigan on a day when it is 5 degrees farenheit and wind chills -20. Eye lashes freeze, and watch one another for frostbite, but the trail is gorgeous in the deep snow. Trees decorated with snow and occasional Christmas ornaments. Deer nearby foraging for food. It is a great adventure to spend with my young adult children.
