Wrigley is ready to welcome sports fans back to the stadium after 2 years for the Chicago Cubs to face off against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Things will look a lot different though this time because of COVID-19, with distanced seating, with people in certain colored zones, many sanitizing stations, and other changes. They've only been approved for 20 percent capacity in the stadium.

That would be about 8.2k fans that have made their way to the stadium.

It is going to be a completely contactless experience, people won't be able to pay with cash, only credit cards will be accepted.

From getting through the gate hands-free, to ordering food right to your seat through your phone, they've aimed for more efficiency and convenience with this new opening for the fans.

The season begins and many are very excited about it referring to it as one of the most anticipated events.

You won't see the usual hot dog vendors here selling in the stands, or beer vendors etc, instead people are encouraged to order their food from a nearby stadium convenience area and then either have it delivered or pick it up.

As other stadiums make adjustments for the new social distancing and other requirements, they too might opt to go completely cashless just the same.

MLB lost billions last year and had previously projected losses of upwards of $600k per game for those baseball games that were held without fans.

They can't be at full capacity right now but there are still thousands making their way to see the game. It might not be what it once was, maybe some think that it's even better now with the contactless experience, but for many they're just glad that it's back now in whatever form they can get it in.
