It wasn't that long ago that not that many people had even heard about what Touchland sanitizer spray was. Until many stores around the United States and elsewhere started to run out and people went looking online to see what they could find. For a company that was already disrupting the space and seeing good growth, the demand has skyrocketed in the beginning of this year thanks to the the COVID-19 situation.
This is a company that took years to build from the ground up, introducing a direct-to-consumer business in 2018 and in its first year managed to see $2 million in sales. The company was born in Barcelona but later moved its operations to the Untied States by 2017. They have also moved their production from China to a manufacturing company out of Mexico.
At times they have seen sales of more than $100k per day in recent weeks, with a waitlist for their products that continues to grow and many have been waiting 4-6 weeks for their packages to arrive.
The waitlist for Touchland sanitizer products has grown to more than 10,000 people now. See what their product looks like in the image below.
"The hand sanitizer industry is cemented in eliminating germs and instilling fear. We wanted to disrupt this way of thinking and build a solution that, instead, empowers people to live their lives to the fullest... We have tailored a product that differs from competitors, disrupting every angle possible. " - Touchland creator Andrea Lisbona
For March they sold an average of 10,000 Power Mist units or more every day. There have been a variety of companies that have suddenly appeared in the market in recent weeks which have been looking to meet the sanitizer demand, but they might not have the lasting power to continue to grow and innovate once sanitizer isn't so hard to get any longer like it is today. For Touchland though they probably aren't going to have that problem, as they note they have more innovate products coming down the pipeline. It also shows how a good idea, even though it might start small, can grow rapidly within just a matter of a year or two.
