was thinking about this post tonight, though I had read it the other day, and wanted to do some digging further on it. I myself do often have that inner dialogue so I was intrigued that you didn't, or that someone might not. How is that possible???? lol

It seems that it might not be very common. Nevada psych Prof Russell Hurlburt is described as having 'pioneered the investigation of our "inner experience", devoting his career to learning about what you describe here, the psychological phenomena of what Russell has referred to as the individual ‘Pristine Inner Experience, in his research he has found that a very low number of people might actually have that dialogue going on in their head, and for this reason he has asserted that past research might be overestimating how general this inner thought process is, he believes it is a common mistake to assume that everyone must have it. Sounds like it has been difficult for them to measure it, how researchers might investigate or explain what is going on in the mind. How can the participant explain it? What tools can be used to measure it? etc It's all very interesting! great post😃
