There have been ongoing protests in France over the proposal to increase the retirement age.
Many different unions have joined the protesting and it has caused disruptions for a lot of market sectors, including fuel, transportation, and more. They have suggested that they are dedicated to maintaining this pressure to have their voices heard.
Can the country afford to be giving hundreds of millions of dollars to Ukraine at a time when they are apparently so financially strapped that they need to increase the retirement age for workers who pay and maintain the entire system itself?
Aside from working professionals joining the fight there have also been many young people seen out protesting, including a number of students who have reportedly blocked some access to universities in the region and other schools.
Some people worry that they won't even live to retirement age and they don't want to see a future where they are working their entire life and exhausted at the end. Right now the cost of living is difficult for billions and has been eroding the standard of living from food to shelter and more.
Police have allegedly engaged in the usual activities like using teargas against protesters and it is reported that over 1.27 million people have engaged in the demonstrations around the country so far against the measures, calling for justice and making it clear they aren't happy about the retirement age being increased to deal with a questionable deficit. They have said they will continue protesting until this measure is withdrawn.
