Even now, Vegas is a vacation destination of choice for many of those Americans who are eager to travel right now, but cannot leave to visit other international destinations just yet for non-essential travel. Or it just might be cheaper and more convenient for them. Hotel bookings for vacations spiked recently on news of the vaccinations. And now hotels are working again to draw tourists back in to the destination.
One new hotel coming to the region is specifically looking to cater to healthy travelers out there. That new hotel that is coming is looking to offer a non-gaming and non-smoking option to those who want it. The hotel isn't supposed to be open for several years yet but the construction will begin this summer. The hotel, referred to as the Majestic, is the first of its kind and will certainly stand out from the other options in the area. Though you might not be able to smoke or gamble you can still find other activities like wellness services, a spa, fitness facilities, and more.
Vegas is a cost effective option for millions if they want that getaway and the weather is only going to keep getting better through the summer which will also help to draw more people in. Right now they are just waiting to see when more people might get comfortable with getting out more and making that happen.
Some economists who track the Vegas market have suggested that tourism might only be a few weeks away from starting to come back in a noticeable way.
As far as travel and conferences go, Las Vegas is one of the best places when compared with other competitive markets as being the best-prepared to be able to safely host in-person events, according to business travelers.
It's expected that by Q2 and Q3 many more people are going to be comfortable with making a trip and potentially planning a vacation to Las Vegas or another destination.
