After areas like Colorado and Washington moved to legalize cannabis, it wasn't long before cannabis-themed tour companies started to spring up.

Now, you can find cannabis tours that are being offered in a variety of cities, from Seattle to Denver, Toronto, and other regions.

You can find a variety of cannabis experiences: Hotboxing helicopters, dispensary tours, wine & weed tours, cannabis party buses (with sealed off area for driver), vapor lounge tours, cannabis dinners and food tastings, cannabis puff and paint events, and more.

Cannabis tourism is on the rise in many areas.

Whether travelers are new to a region for the first time and want to see what the cannabis industry is like, tours can give them a convenient entry to gain that experience. As well, anyone from the region who wants to connect more with the community or have a cannabis-themed adventure, now they are gaining more options to do that.

Grown More Than 50%

Cannabis attracts a diverse crowd, from young adults to the elderly, people from all different backgrounds, they all have one common interest in cannabis.

This new slice of tourism is drawing millions of people already to places like Colorado, where cannabis tourism has grown more than 50 percent since 2014, and other cannabis-friendly towns.

Cannabis tourism is expected to continue to grow and be accepted as an important part of the tourism industry overall, helping to bring in millions of tourists and dollars into certain regions.

Whether someone is looking to celebrate a special event with friends, or corporate companies and other individuals are looking for a private and tailored cannabis experience, a number of options continue to come to market with various cannabis celebrations and activities. Pro-cannabis rallies and festivals etc, have helped to draw hundreds of thousands of people to different areas in places like Washington and Colorado.

While many entrepreneurs are already eager to try and reap the rewards of this budding economy, not everyone is as excited and critics have suggested that cannabis tourism will tarnish the reputation of cities like Denver and Seattle etc. Considering the long history that cannabis has had in the United States however, it's the criminalization and war against this plant which is what truly leaves a stain on the reputation of those cities.
