Jamaica has been seeing more tourists than ever in recent years and various individuals behind numerous projects have been steadily making preparations to welcome more travelers in the future, as tourism is a significant multi-billion dollar industry for the region.

Right now it's estimated that an areas like Montego Bay has somewhere around 8.9k hotel rooms or more. Many travelers have also expressed a preference for going with Airbnb too, instead of traditional rentals.
Coming Soon: Eclipse at Half Moon
One of the most anticipated hotel projects that will finally be opening this year is the Eclipse at Half Moon, Jamaica, the centerpiece hotel at the Half Moon resort located in Montego Bay.
It's expected to finally open on March 1st later this year.
This is a luxury resort coming to Montego Bay that has a priceless view and position on the coast, as you can see from the images above.
This is the 3rd accommodations option for the Half Moon resort, featuring 57 rooms total with 32 being referred to as cottage-style buildings. And they are now taking reservations.
Overall, Half Moon will have more than 200 rooms when Eclipse finally opens and joins Founders Cove and Rose Hall Villas which are the already existing properties on the 400-acre resort space.
It is expected that Eclipse will have at least 3 bars, 2 restaurants, a market cafe, infinity-edge swimming pool, and private beachfront access.
This resort also hosts one of the most sought after suites in all of the Caribbean, known as the Great House Ocean Suite, this option will run several hundred or more per night.
Investing In The Future
Over the last several years Half Moon resort took to investing more than $70 million into the destination in a move to add value and simultaneously celebrate its 65th anniversary. They are getting ready for the next 60 years of serving guests on the island. They are making the changes to try and remain one of the most sought after destination venues in Jamaica.
