The new leader in Argentina is looking to turn things around economically, things might be painful for some time while they consider new avenues to change the path they've been headed down.

With inflation that has been arguably worsening the standard of living and fueling uncertainty, what options might they take to move in an opposite direction?

Will they be able to reverse the habit of debt building for something more sustainable?

The new president has claimed that there is no money and has signaled that there is an effort to make some drastic changes in an attempt to carve out a better future for the region.

Reversing 'decades of decadence' by political leaders

We know that political leaders like to spend money and it isn't common to hear about spending cuts being proposed in any meaningful way. The debt continues to build for many nations around the world, regardless of the deterioration in value of fiat currency and rising cost of living that billions of people face. More, more, more, seems to be the only approach when it comes to spending and budgets.

Will their efforts for change work to drive down inflation? If it does then will it inspire others to act similarly?

Some experts have suggested that radical changes might be the best chance at changing the struggling economy.

Last year it seems, according to some surveying, that many Argentines saw the economy as getting worse and given that this has been ongoing for some time it's no shock that voters might look to anyone proposing drastic changes to try and turn things in a different direction.

There is a lot of pressure on the new leader to see that through and bring about any newfound prosperity that people might be hoping for.

As debt and cost of living worsens in other regions are we going to see voter opinions shift to focusing on new candidates that might be drastically different in terms of spending and the economy? Or will the majority continue supporting the same old song and dance that arguably fueled these issues of debt and inflation in the first place?
