The worry over students cheating is something that schools have long been dealing with around the world for many years now. There are a variety of different tools that have been utilized to try and prevent cheating from happening. In the market today with things like AI chat bots that can easily write you papers on a wide range of topics it might be tempting to turn to those programs to do your homework for you, but detector tools are being developed.
One college student recently created an app that is meant to try and detect such an essay that might have been written with the help of an AI chat bot, this is something that many teachers might start to be worried about and look for solutions on how to deal with it.
Colleges and universities in some regions have allegedly seen cheating increase and some experts have suggested that of course things like AI could worsen that problem.
But those behind tools to detect the cheating say that they are able to efficiently and quickly determine what might be a fake from something a student honestly put together. Some of those tools are already available though not many teachers might be aware of them just yet. What happens if they wrongfully assume a student didn't create a piece of work themselves, will it get complicated for students and teachers to determine who is telling the truth in the matter?
