all too true. And that's why planet Crypton has such a bad name too. It seems to attract a certain kind of people and it also seems to attract the same kind of people who would, all those years ago, sell off everything and move to the boonies b/c One person found a lump of gold in a river ... HODL-mentality means no movement, no movement no friction, no trading = no money. It's dollars at the end of the day. I can't say im good or bad in investments. It's impossible to say what i would or would not have made on mtGox from the BTC i mined when the world was young and b/c microsoft killed one of my accounts (email+skype+onedrive, , all data , contacts and everything i used it as access key for gone' i literally have no way of proving it was me (i mean who the hell used real names back then ??)

can't say ... spending money on this thing did look like a very bad decision (not at first) for about half a year now, ... apocalypse 21 and what not ... power-to-the-whales and such , but

i'm open to actual billionnaires picking up intrest in the currency and the platform although i have zero illusions or delusions that any billionnaire on the planet comes in wearing a cape to save the day for free. They sold so it means they didnt have more money than they could spend. Hes been looking for utility for TRON .. at the very least i think they would both be motivated to make it work. People at that level tend to be slightly peculiar. I mean it cant be really about the money but there's this thing about winning and i think also 'the spotlight' that seems to be irresistible.

hype machine might not be too far off the mark but its mostly what this thing is built on , ethereum and eos , same thing, eos didnt have a blockchain when they sold out, they didnt have one line of code ... its like hollywood celebs :) sometimes you're better off with controversy than no news at all ...

I doubt we will see much changes in 2020 ... TRON has been on bittorrent for ages and afaik all they got out of it so far is a lawsuit over (ofcourse : the new black : infringement and whatnot). So if it works out we have a 'team' (i dont like people using that fourletter word in my direction but some seem to feel safer in it) that's kinda genius in the IT-department but a total suck when it comes to marketing AND a billionnaire who WANTS it as a hammer versus eos-voice (check the release dates of the statements there) who seems to be excellent at hyping and marketing ... unless ego or the local 100.000 dollar whales get in the way it might actually work since
in essene, there's no such thing as can't do in IT , so migration must be possible (even if im wondering how they will handle 'free' transactions ... im not 100% sure but i thought TRX as such had (minor) fees ...

then again, maybe they just wanted to sell some off on a quick bump (whic has already passed now, STEEM is back at 0.20 and sbd at 0.86 ... thirteen weeks from now no clue where it will be so i didnt bother powering down lol)

i think its about the most interesting development to the whole thing since i got on it : "an actual player with real money on board" :)

the rest remains to be seen ... i still think the biggest risk is the current status quo who should suddenly feel very small ... but the company is not the blockchain so if he bought steemit its under no obligation to follow witnesses, the price of a machine to run a steemit node, mister Sun could probably buy a few thousand to keep it going from the small change in his pôckets there ...
