Hello everyone in the Market Friday community, today I want to take you to a special fair, which is Ngoc Linh ginseng fair. Ngoc Linh ginseng is a precious ginseng not only for Vietnam but also for the whole world with high saponin content. It is known scientifically as Panax vietnamensis. You can learn more about it here. Ngoc Linh is a mountainous area of Tu Mo Rong district, Kon Tum province, where the climate and soil are suitable to create this special ginseng.

This is the first time Ngoc Linh ginseng fair is held to promote the image of not only Ngoc Linh ginseng products but also the tourism image of Tu Mo Rong district. Tu Mo Rong is a remote mountainous district of Kon Tum province. This land still retains its unspoiled natural beauty and is little known, so the local government organized this fair to bring the image of this beautiful land to everyone.

Ngoc Linh Ginseng Fair taking place right in the center of Tu Mo Rong town has attracted many visitors to visit. Visitors come here out of curiosity for this special and precious ginseng. In addition, Ngoc Linh ginseng is a very high value product. The older the ginseng root, the higher its value. There are ginseng bulbs on display at the fair that are sold for 420,000,000vnd/kg (equivalent to nearly 200,000usd).

Honestly, I was also overwhelmed by the value of this ginseng. However, only this Ngoc Linh mountain area can grow such ginseng. Therefore, visiting the ginseng growing areas in this mountainous area is very limited. We tried going into a nearby ginseng garden but we were not allowed in.

Ngoc Linh Ginseng Fair has also attracted many different ginseng farms in the Ngoc Linh mountain area. In addition, many other local products such as pineapple, apple, jackfruit, vegetables and local dishes were also displayed at the fair. I was invited to try out many products while walking around the fair. Have you ever tried ginseng coffee? Very interesting. It was the most interesting fair I attended so far.
