Assuming the future is bright for crypto currencies, why is now an important time to post on Steemit? What difference does a few weeks or months make? Old school thinking says... if it is good to do today, it can be done tomorrow.
I have studied systems since the 1970's. Systems are not static: they change with time. Steemit is constantly changing, the time it takes to become recognized in the community remains. I think recognition will take longer as crypto popularity grows.
Overall estimates say that currently less than 2% of the population are involved with all crypto currencies. This number is expected to reach over 10% by summer 2018. There is no way to predict the future, but rapid participation will happen for several reasons.
The past gains and popularity of Bitcoin will become legend. Stories told of quick easy money will spread fast. This is happening now.
The Bond market is the largest market of all. Several experts have called for higher interest rates. In bonds, higher interest rates means dropping values. A bond that pays 2% today will lessen in value as interest rates go higher.
Investors will choose between falling bond prices and the potential gains of crypto currencies. Remember, the bond market is massive. As a huge system, it will not change quickly. In 2018 early adopters will begin to move from bonds to crypto (my opinion).
Those who believe this transition is probable expect crypto prices to soar.
Back to thinking about systems...
Steemit offers an opportunity to earn crypto. Steem can also be bought. Higher prices in the crypto community will spread to the steem price.
Earning Steem now through posting on Steemit should reap great rewards. These earnings are like trees. They require time to grow. A tree planted today needs time to grow. This need for time is why the next few months are critical.
Every post made now has the potential to attract another follower. Loyal followers and existing Steem are important for future growth.
