23 years ago we gathered at a friends house to watch US men's national soccer team. Our friend ha d big screen TV which was rare at the time. We comfortably watched and cheered for the US.
Tonight I will watch the US play play Panama. I am rooting for Panama. The powers that control our national team are corrupt and do not want to build a team of champions.
The NCAA contributes to our national disgrace by the restrictions placed on college players. While our players are lounging in dormitories, their counterparts in other countries are gaining skill and competitive game experience.
If we win tonight, it will be tragedy fo Panama.
If you watch the match, keep an eye on Michael Bradley. He should be easy to find standing passively in the defensive midfield. He is my least favorite player. I would describe him as a bald waste of space. To be fair, he has modest ability when taking a free kick.
Here is today's beauty.
