I used to love the start of school! Each year provided a new fresh start. The grades and averages were all set to zero. Possibilities were unlimited!
What is your time frame for self evaluation? Do you measure your behavior annually, monthly, weekly, daily or maybe ever hourly? I'm guessing most of us self evaluate daily.
I quit setting production goals many years ago. There was a natural conflict between my job and the calendar. My work production fluctuated severely making it impossible to set any time related goals.
In the Steemit community things are better, but there are still variables that are outside of my control. Since I can't predict community response, I can't make income goals. I shoot for longer term accomplishments, but I have very little influence over the time required to see change.
Averages are good in hindsight, but offer me little motivation in daily production. The struggle continues, bu I feel like I am running blind.
I am finishing my day. This is my third post. I am ok with my effort. I must still review my replies and spend a bit of power in that process. If there is an abundance of power remaining, I will look for good content to upvote. I try to arrange for a fresh start in the morning. I like fresh starts!
