Very interesting info as always sam. I know next to nothing about grafting. I would like to learn how to properly prune the avocado trees that we planted a year ago.

The first line of trees that were planted about 1 year ago. The leaves were recently hammered by high winds.

We have about 40 trees but as you can see from this last photo, a healthy tree will send up many child plants which in theory will each produce a full bunch of bananas. We are experimenting to see how many of these new plants should be left in place, or moved to another spot, for maximum production.
