Haha, while reading your post i was thinking that this sounds like Mexico where i have been living for the better part of 2 years. Definitely in regards to driving, selling, and building. The food is good and i got a laugh out of this sentence which is definitely true in Mexico as well:

In fact, the more shoddy looking and cheap the food stall is the better the food tastes!

i agree with @stortebeker regarding the animals and family aspects. If you come for a trip we'll have to throw a party!
