Howdy 👋. In this post I share some photos taken earlier in May when the family and I went to a park ( park, I seem to say that word so often these days…..”park”).
Anyways, so coming back from the Golden week holidays, the first thing people ask each other is: “So what did you do?”
What I have realized is that the people without kids around me didn’t do much:
“Oh, I went for ramen, that was the highlight of my Golden Week.”
“I stayed home and slept.”
“I went to Tokyo and learned how to make a carpet.”
“I went to a soccer match.”
These were some of the responses I got and it made me realize why having kids can be costly, you always have to be doing something to keep them from getting board and off the tablets.
So, what did I do during golden week? Here is a list:
Wow! Now while these things were great experiences, they made me go over budget. I had to actually dip into last cycles crypto profits to stay afloat through it all. But luckily I had that. Buying a cart for camping, meat, sleeping bags, etc really adds up. But now I have these things to use another day.
In all honestly I’ve learnt to just go with the flow of family life as it is a great experience. I do miss the days of just chilling at home doing whatever I felt like doing. But those days are gone and I have accepted that.
Though the future seems to be a worrying wonder, I’m feeling better just thinking fuck it, enjoy the moment. I have found myself talking to my ancestors more recently as it feels more natural. It also helps me starve that worrying thing most of the world is going through.
Yes Yes 🙌🏾 just being grateful in the moment, though things aren’t perfect there is much to appreciate. The simple things like taking photos of your kids and nature, being able to post those pics on a web 3 platform and earn some magical internet money while storing your thoughts for future generations to see. And on that note, enjoy the rest of the pictures, tell me your favorite in the comments.
