In this DtubeSnap Response I reply to @fabian98 's question " What is your solution" ( regarding the state of steemit , the lay offs and setbacks.

Well lets jump right in. My solution consists of 4 points.

1 .Get experts to work on bringing down-the cost of nodes and other network expenses.

• Because it doesn't seem to be Steem Inc's strong point
• Where will the money come from? Whales could loan this money to steemit INC, donations, or steemit INc could use the steem they have and set a 6 month goal.

2 .Steem Inc should focus on SMTs only,

• Focus on the game changer, not what the urgent matter is, unless they know how to do it well.
• Steemit seems to be good at developing and building blockchains.
• No need to focus on building the steemit website as that is not their strong point and others are already on it.

3 . Create a team to support the development of DApps on the steem blockchian.

• Make sure they are running smoothly so when the masses come they wont be disappointed.
• Give dev support. Again this could be paid for with loans and donations or possibly future SMTs.
• create APIs that make it easy for apps to swap between SMTs, steem and fiat

4 . Steem Inc should then choose the most promising DApp and partner with them.
This Dapp should be easy to use, fun, seamless crytpo to fiat and back. This DApp will also be the first and only DApp with an Advertisement model.This DApp should be the" gate way drug" into the crypto world for the masses.

In 6 months to a year when

• the cost of nodes are down,
• all the promising DApps are working correctly,
• SMTS are integrated
• Steem INC has chosen the killer DApp to engage the masses.

Now it is time to market this killer Dapp gorilla style. All other Dapps would be marketed on this Dapp.
