This is why I have been looking into other ways to share my content outside of steem.

When I got involved, I didn't do it because I was interested in crypto, I wanted a place I could easily share my content and, hopefully, make a small bit of money on. I went with Steem because I don't have time to manage my own site, I didn't want to have to write for someone else and their standards, and a lot of current blogging platforms aren't very good for people who just want to upload like me (Medium is a bit of a hellscape for various reasons).

So I took the time to learn about how Crypto works in order to hang around here, and for the most part it seems all well and good. I was never around when Steem was valued at more then a dollar for example.

I've been looking at Trybe, which is similar in nature but based on EOS, but I don't know enough about it yet. That said I still plan to hang around on Steem until it just stops feeling viable. We'll see how it goes in the near future I guess.
