Sapele is Delta state, Nigeria is a beautiful and simple city. It has beautiful houses and a good road network with 'not so bad' roads.
PROBLEM: the dump heap of dirts is alarming. Those photos were taken from one of the dump heaps along New Ogorode road.
NIGERIA: this problem seem to be prevailing in many parts of Nigeria. I think this is BECAUSE many Nigerians are yet to figure out how best to dispose their refuse.
Burning would lead to air pollution.
Dumping indescriminately would lead to blockage of drainages and erosion.
Solution: I read about GREEN RECYCLING. I define green recycling as the conversion of waste into something useful without imparting harmfully on the environment.
MY CURRENT WORK: sachet nylon waste from sachet water ( popularly called pure water) are always numerous among dump heap. I am currently working on converting it into shower cap for females. This is my progress so far.
