The Liverpool's boss klopp has revealed what he told his players after losing to the Spanish giants. He said how he encouraged his players to stay positive.
“What did I say to them after the game? I said that I am really proud of them, that I liked a lot of things about the game,” said the Reds boss in a post match press conference.
“I don’t have to think about the next game against Barcelona yet, we have Newcastle and that will have all of our focus. We will go to the hotel, have a proper sleep, get up in the morning and fly home.
“Whatever happens, these boys, I couldn’t be more proud of them. People who haven’t seen the game will see the result and say strange things about it, but they always strike back in these kind of games.
“How brave they are, I just like it. And in the end it is still 3-0, it will not change. So let’s fly home and play Newcastle.”
The German gaffer was adamant that the quality of his side performance was better than anything they had produced in the Champions League during his tenure.
“No one will be interested but a few football nerds because it is about the result and we lost 3-0 but I can work really good with this game,” said Klopp.
