No, taxation has nothing to do with prosperity.

I am talking about reducing inflation, the only way to do that in our current economic system is through government taxation because the government has the power to destroy currency. When there is less currency in the economic system inflation goes down.

The government should also stop printing and borrowing money but when it does that it will most certainly have to increase taxation because it needs money to buy goods and services. If you want to live in a society that has roads, trains, fire stations, police stations, military, schools, etc... than you need a government that has money to pay people to create these things.
