It's literally just coupons. Each coupon will have its own barcode, so that prints as well. Couple that with the fact the average customer gets 2-6 coupons per receipt, and you start getting 2-3 ft. of receipt. There was one time a couponer at my store got about 6 ft. of receipt paper, being literally longer than my manager at the time was tall. If it makes you feel any better, I recently learned all our receipt paper comes from recycled paper.
