This November, a new deck product is available in retail stores. It is the Mega Greninja ex League Battle Deck. The main attack is Mega Greninja ex with Mega Starmie ex as its second attacker. This is a spread damage type of deck.
I do plan to make a more detailed separate post on my thoughts on this deck.
Pokemon Worlds 2026 in San Fransisco has concluded. The 2027 Pokemon Worlds location has been announced. It is in Singapore.
There is an upcoming new animated movie for the Pokemon TCG. Pokemon: Wild Card is the title. We follow a Pokemon TCG player and a Mimikyu in 2027.
The next series in the Pokemon TCG is Pokemon ex★. It is a new Pokemon ex mechanic. Not much is known about this mechanic but they did show Suicune, Entei and Raikou.
There are reprints of Crystal Lugia, Dark Tyranitar and Paldea Evolved's illustration rare Magikarp.
New versions of Gimmighoul and Ditto have been revealed.
The Aura Seeker Japanese set is to release in November. A few English cards have been revealed with no official set release date. We have a new version of Riolu, Mega Lucario Z ex and Sigilyph ex.
This new Riolu is not a great attacker but is needed for Mega Lucario ex or Mega Lucario Z ex.
Sigilyph ex is a Basic Pokemon ex beatstick attacker. This has 210 HP, a one retreat cost, Fighting resistance and Dark Weakness. The Mega Protection ability makes Sigilyph ex prevent damage by Mega Evolution Pokemon ex attacks. The Power Cyclone attack requires 3 of any Energy to deal 140 damage plus you move 1 Energy from this Pokemon to 1 of your Benched Pokemon.
Mega Lucario Z ex is very interesting. Instead of a Fighting type, it is a Metal type Pokemon. This goes well with Metang, Genesect ex, Philippe and Steven's Metagross ex.
The Aura Seeker ability can be used once during your turn if this Mega Lucario Z ex is in the Active Spot. Search your deck for 1 Supporter card, reveal it, and put into your hand. Then shuffle deck. A Meowth ex ability for once per turn is pretty powerful. One obvious combo is this Mega Lucario Z ex with Air Balloon.
With a powerful ability, the Dancing Fist attack is okay. If this was a super strong attack then Mega Lucario Z ex would be broken. For 2 Metal Energy, this Dancing Fist attack deals 120 base damage plus 120 damage if the opponent's Active Pokemon is a Pokemon ex.
When it comes to Pokemon Worlds events, they typically announce new stuff that is upcoming. A Pokemon TCG movie is kind of surprising. Will I watch this movie? Not likely. I don't watch movies in general these days.
I do hope that the upcoming Pokemon TCG cards are good. The current Dragapult ex 30%+ meta share metagame is getting stale really fast. Beating an average Dragapult ex deck is not too difficult but there are so many of them.
