The ruleset for this week's challenge

image.png

  • Wands Out - Only units with magic attacks may be used

The ruleset that I managed to get

image.png

  • Rulesets - Armored Up & Wands Out
  • Mana Cap - 14
  • Active Elements - image.png image.png

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Bortus

  • With this weeks challenge to get huge advantage from your summoner you need either - magic damage, Void, Phase or Void Armor as Armored Up was active
  • With my limited element choice I only had Bortus with -1 magic damage that fit into my team
  • Bortus is also only 3 mana which plays nicely into my 14 mana cap rule
1st Position: Djinn Oshannus

  • Djinn Oshannus was probably the best monster that I could play with the ruleset that I got
  • Even tho Djinn Oshannus costs 8 mana which is almost all that I had to work with I still think he was my best choice mainly because of his Void ability paired with his tankiness
  • Void - Reduced damage from magic attacks
2nd Position: Musa Saline

  • I picked this card last and the only factor was that she was 3 cost as I only had 3 mana left
  • Not the best card to play here or even in general but I didn't have any other monster to play here
  • At least had she had Scavenger so when my enemy would've played a lot of low health monsters she would've become quite tanky
  • Scavenger - Gains 1 max health each time any unit dies

Starting board

image.png

  • Already after seeing the starting board I was confident I would win because even tho hes Djinn Oshannus was level 2 and had Phase my - 1 magic damage from my summoner meant that he couldn't hurt my Djinn Oshannus at all
  • I needed to land at least 5 hit on her before Fatigue kicked in or otherwise this game could end in a draw

image.png

Here's how the battle went

1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th Round

image.png

  • After 5 rounds I had damaged my enemies only monster to a point were even if I managed to miss every following hit to a point were Fatigue kicked in I would still win
  • As the speed difference was 1 I had only 10% of miss chance so I was quite confident that the battle would end in 6 to maybe 7 rounds
6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th & 11th Round

image.png

  • It took me 11 rounds to kill my enemies Djinn Oshannus and win this battle
  • I managed to hit 90% hit chance 11 rounds in a row but even if I didn't the battle was already over after 5th Round
  • Battle Replay Link

Summary

  • This battle was definitely heavily one sided because of the summoner difference we had
  • I believe the strategy to take away from this battle is the -1 magic damage paired with Void is super effective in Wands Out ruleset
