The ruleset for this week's challenge

image.png

  • Up Close and Personal - Only units with melee attacks can be used

The ruleset that I managed to get

image.png

  • Rulesets - Up Close and Personal & Equalizer
  • Mana Cap - 15
  • Active Elements - image.png image.png image.png

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Kelya Frendul

  • With this weeks challenge the best summoner you could possible go is Mylor Crowling as he gives your monsters Thorns but in my case earth element wasn't active so I settled for Kelya Frendul
1st Position: Xenith Monk

  • Xenith Monk was my main tank for this battle
  • Main reason I like Xenith Monk here a lot is hes Heal ability
  • Heal - Restores a portion of the unit's health each round
2nd Position: Torrent Fiend

  • Why not to play him he costs 0 mana
3rd Position: Parasitic Growth

  • Low mana cost melee monster with Opportunity
  • For 4 mana you get 2 damage (with Opportunity), 1 speed and 3 hp
  • Opportunity - Units with the opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy unit with the lowest health
4th Position: Uraeus

  • Next up in line is another low mana cost melee monsters with Sneak
  • For 3 mana you get 2 melee damage (Sneak), 2 speed, 1 armor and 2 hp
  • Sneak - Targets the last unit on the enemy Team instead of the first unit

Starting board

image.png

  • Already after seeing the starting board I was confident I would win because after my enemy only played one card vs my 4 and with Equalizer I had much more hp
  • But let's see the rest of the battle

image.png

Here's how the battle went

1st Round

image.png

  • After 1st Round the battle field was looking quite good
2nd Round

image.png

  • After 2nd Round was so huge for me
  • I now believe the battle should end in the next 2 rounds
  • And my team was still almost as healthy as in the beginning
3rd Round

image.png

  • After the 3rd Round I was 100% sure I would win this battle
  • I only needed to take my enemies only monsters last 2 hp
4th Round

image.png

  • It took me 10 turn to kill my enemies last standing monster
  • After hes Djinn Chwala had fallen I took the victory
  • Battle Replay Link

image.png

Summary

  • This battle was definitely heavily one sided but still fun to watch
  • I believe the strategy to take away from this battle is that use maximum number of monsters when Equalizer is ruleset
  • If you also would like to hop on the Splinterlands train feel free to use my Referral
