The ruleset for this week's challenge

image.png

  • Target Practice - All ranged and magic units gain the Snipe ability

The ruleset that I managed to get

image.png

  • Rulesets - Target Practice & Back to Basics
  • Mana Cap - 19
  • Active Elements - image.png image.png image.png

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Obsidian

  • I was planing to go with magic damage team and that's why I picked Obsidian as my summoner
  • As can be seen later that plan totally failed because the mana cap was too low
1st Position: Nectar Queen

  • A strong melee tank with Flying
  • Flying - This unit has an increased chance of evading melee or ranged attacks from units who do not have the flying ability
2nd Position: Furious Chicken

  • Love this card so much because of hes cost
  • Not much to say here other than why not to play him he cost 0 mana
3rd Position: Mycelic Morphoid

  • I picked him last and the only reason was that I had only 1 mana left
  • I was hoping that he just might block some hits
4th Position: Magi Sphinx

  • For last but not least it is my only magic damage monster
  • Just a simple decently low mana cost 2 magic damage monster

Starting board

image.png

  • Already after seeing the starting board I was confident I would lose because my enemy had much higher level cards than me
  • And secondly he went with a much better team for this ruleset than I did
  • But let's still go over the battle, you never know how the battle might end

image.png

Here's how the battle went

1st Round

image.png

  • After 1st Round my theory was correct I was getting totally destroyed
  • Now I was 100% sure I was going to lose
2nd Round

image.png

  • After 2nd Round my board was almost cleared
  • Now it was just down to him clearing my last monster and the battle would be over
3rd Round

image.png

  • It took him 2 turns to kill my last standing monster and I had lost the battle
  • Battle Replay Link

Summary

  • This battle was definitely heavily one sided to my enemy
  • I believe the strategy to take away from this battle is don't use one single strong unit with a ruleset like Target Practice
  • If you also would like to hop on the Splinterlands train feel free to use my Referral
