The ruleset for this week's challenge
- Reverse Speed - Units with lower speeds will attack before units with higher speeds. Attack Accuracy based on speed will also be reversed
The ruleset that I managed to get
- Rulesets - Lost Magic, What Doesn't Kill You & Reverse Speed
- Mana Cap - 44
- Active Elements -
Here's my starting lineup
Summoner: Tarsa
- With the ruleset that I got I decided to go with melee based comp
- So that in mind the best summoner I had was Tarsa with his +1 melee damage and +1hp
1st Position: Grum Flameblade
- Grum Flameblade was my main tank for this battle
- Main reason I like Grum Flameblade here a lot is his Bloodlust ability
- Bloodlust - Every time this Unit defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats
- Void Armor - Magic attacks hit this Unit's armor before its Health
- Void - Reduced damage from Magic attacks by 50%
2nd Position: Ferexian Hero
- One of my favorite soul bound cards so far
- For 8 mana you get 4 melee damage (with Reach), 3 speed, 1 armor and 7 hp
- Weapons Training - Adjacent Units with no attack gain this Unit's attack, up to maximum of 3
- Reach - Melee attack Units with Reach may attack from the second position
3rd Position: Tenyii Striker
- Next up is Tenyii Striker
- A great 5 mana melee monster with a lot of stats and two great abilities
- Sneak - Targets the last unit on the enemy Team instead of the first unit
- Dodge - Has a 25% chance of evading melee or ranged attacks
4th Position: Kobold Miner
- Next up in line is one lovely super cheap monster
- For 2 mana you get so much being 2 melee damage, 2 speed and 3 hp
- Sneak - Targets the last unit on the enemy Team instead of the first unit
5th Position: Sand Worm
- As always when you have high mana cap battle you just need to play Sand Worm
- He is a great backline monster because of his high damage and decent hp to tank some hits
- Sneak - Targets the last unit on the enemy Team instead of the first unit
6th Position: Firecaller
- Firecaller was my backline tank for this battle
- Also his has some quite amazing stats being 3 ranged damage, 3 speed and 4 hp
- Alongside the amazing stats is his Martyr ability which I really like
- Martyr - When this Unit dies, adjacent Units get +1 to all stats
Starting board
- After seeing the starting board I was quite scared as my enemy had 2 level summoner lead compared with higher level monsters across the board
- But as we know anything could happen in Splinterlands so lets start it up and have a look
Here's how the battle went
1st & 2nd Round
- In the first and second round we both had managed to take down each others first monster and two last monsters
- We now had almost the same teams onboard with the exception of his monsters being couple of levels higher
- That scared me for a second but then I realized that because my monsters are lower level they have lower speed which in a battle with Reverse Speed is huge advantage
- Now I just needed to hit my attacks and the battle should be mine
3rd Round
- 3rd round was quite big for me
- Even tho I lost one backline monster my enemy lost two in the same time
- I now was in a great position but I could still miss my attacks and mess it all up, lets have a look
4th & 5th Round
- In the 4th Round I got one hit in and my enemy took down my Ferexian Hero
- We both were on one hit from each other
- In the 5th Round I managed to miss and my heart dropped but then my enemy happened to miss as well
6th Round
- It took me 1 turn to kill my enemies last standing monster
- After his Tenyii Striker had fallen I took the victory
- Battle Replay Link
Summary
- This battle was definitely heavily one sided but still fun to watch
- The battle came down to my having lower level cards with lower speed which in a match with Reverse Speed was a huge advantage
