The ruleset for this week's challenge
- Melee Mayhem - Melee attack Monsters can attack from any position
The ruleset that I managed to get
- Rulesets - Close Range & Melee Mayhem
- Mana Cap - 45
- Active Elements - Water, Life, Death, Dragon
Here's my starting lineup
Summoner: Contessa L'ament
- For the active Elements I got on my ruleset I didn't have a Summoner with a great impact on hand so I just settled for high level one in Death Element cause I knew I had some great cards I can play in there
- Using Contessa L'ament as my summoner turned out to be kinda great choice anyway as the enemy still played ranged attack monster even if Melee Mayhem was active
Tank: Harklaw
- In my opinion Harklaw is a great card and especially a great tank in this battle
- Shield - Reduces damage from Melee and Ranged attacks by 50%
1st Position: Nightmare
- Serves as secondary tank in this battle (later shown didn't come to that)
- Blast - Does half damage (rounded up) to Unites adjacent to the target Unit
2nd Position: Octopider
- Main reason I played him/her in this battle was the Demoralize ability as the Melee Mayhem ruleset was active I had a strong belief my enemy would play Melee cards
- Demoralize - Reduces the Melee attack of all enemy Units by 1
- Also if it would had came down to 2nd Position tanking, he/she has enough hp to tank some hits
- And also Close Range was active so I wasn't scared of him/her being not able to attack in the tank Position
3rd Position: Disintegrator
- Just a 2 attack great hp card with Demoralize again
- Main goal for him/her and Octopider was just to reduce enemy Melee damage to 1 so they would deal 0 damage to Tank: Harklaw in the front
4th Position: Silent Sha-vi
- Love this card so much for 5 mana you get 3 damage and he/she is quite fast aswell
- Sneak doesn't help in this battle as Melee Mayhem is active anyway
5th Position: Cursed Windeku
- I used Cursed Windeku mainly cause he/she had Thorns (turns out didn't need it in the end)
- Thorns - When hit with a Melee attack, does 2 Melee damage back to the Attacker
Here's how the battle went
1st Round
- After 1st Round my plan had worked, my enemy had only one Monster with 2 magic attack who could hurt my Harklaw in the tank position
2nd & 3rd Round
- After 2nd and 3rd Round I still had all my monsters alive and quite well
- For a bit I was concerned his Djinn Oshannus would kill my Harklaw but it wasn't the case
4th & 5th Round
- At that point I saw I had won the battle cause all of his/hers Monsters were attacking my Tank Harklaw with 1 attack that my Harklaw shield blocked
6th, 7th & 8th Round
- Last three rounds were just a simple cleanup and I had won the battle

Summary
- I felt really good about this battle, everything just fell into place even though the battle had some scary moments
- Also wanted to point out the strategy of lowering all enemy attacks to 1 and playing Monster with Shield and/or Void ability is so strong
Thanks for reading and thanks for all the upvotes, reblogs, comments and follows. And till the next challenge, KEEP BATTLING!
